661 Pine Street

A seven unit tenement on was severely damaged by fire, and, as a result was unlivable and due to cost was unable to be repaired. The property’s owner refused to demolish the property despite the risks it posed to the health and safety of the City’ residents. The City began legal action against the property owner, and eventually purchased the property and demolished it. The property is now owned by the Central Falls Redevelopment Agency, and will be a location of new two-family, affordable housing.
