The property owner faced foreclosure as a result of damage made to his property by a former tenant. The property owner did not have the money to repair the property, and, after meeting with the Nuisance Task Force, explained that he did not have any interest in remaining a landlord in Central Falls. The City petitioned the municipal housing court in order for a receiver to be appointed for the property. With the assistance of the property owner, the City was able to sell the property, and it is now occupied by two families.
