63 Fletcher Street

The Task Force identified 63 Fletcher Street – a blighted 6-unit property – as one of the city’s worst nuisance properties. The property was ordered vacated by the City’s municipal housing court after it fell into such disrepair that it was no longer safe for human occupancy.

The court then put the property into receivership. Thereafter, the Task Force funded $100,000 for the demolition of this towering, nuisance property (pictures below). With the property cleared, the municipal court approved the sale of the property to PCFD. Finally, the Nuisance Task Force awarded PCFD $100,000 to build a 2-unit property: one unit for home ownership and one unit for rental to help pay for the home owner’s mortgage.
