Summer Food Service Program
The SFSP is a FREE summer camp for youth 18 and younger in Jenks Park. The program runs from 9:30-2:30 Monday-Friday and breakfasts and lunches are served at 10am and 12pm, respectively. We offer a wide range of enrichment programming, running from education to physical activity and sport focused, to arts and crafts and drama. Summer 2017 will feature flag football, provided by Astro Sports at Higginson Ave Sport Complex on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and tennis lessons on Mondays and Fridays, from the United States Tennis Association. Be on the lookout for our mobile meals unit as well, delivering meals to city parks and playgrounds from 4-6pm.
When raining, the summer food program will be moved indoors to Forand Manor (30 Washington Street, Central Falls, RI 02863).
Ralph J. Holden Summer Youth Basketball League
The RJH Summer League is back again, offering a full summer of basketball for just $10! Teams compete in the following divisions: co-ed elementary school, Middle School Boys, Girls 7-12th grade, HS boys. Teams practice one weekday evening and play games Friday evening under the lights (girls and HS boys divisions) or Saturday mornings (elementary and MS boys divisions). Games are held at the Higginson Ave Sport Complex.
 

Shakespeare in the Park en Espanol:

Join us at 7pm on July 7th for a Trinity Repertory bilingual production of Romeo & Juliet in Jenks Park. FREE ADMISSION, bring your family, bring your friends, bring a picnic and enjoy a classic in the crown jewel of the city!

McColl YMCA Summer Swim Program:

Thanks to a generous partnership with the McColl YMCA, our FREE summer swim program returns again in 2017! 50 spots are available on Monday and Wednesday evenings, and two trips Saturday afternoons. the YMCA bus will pickup passengers from the Broad St entrance of Jenks Park at 5pm on weekdays and will return to the park by 8pm. Saturday trips depart at [need to confirm]. Available to all CF residents, but residents must ride the bus to the Y to be eligible for free swim.

CF2: Central Falls Community Fitness Program:
Our Community Fitness program, thanks to a partnership with the Pawtucket Family Y and generous support from Blue Cross & Blue Shield RI, allows CF residents to use the Pawtucket Family Y during morning weekday hours FREE of charge. Summer 2017 hours are from 9-11:15am. CF residents must show a CF ID to be eligible at the front desk. CF residents may get themselves to and from the YMCA or they may ride a bus that runs through the city, with pickup stops at Forand Manor (8am), Wilfrid Manor (8:15am), and Progreso Latino (8:30am). The bus will drop residents back off in reverse order.

Salsa Fridays
Join us on the last Friday of every month, June-September, and dance the night away from 8-11pm on Roosevelt Ave Bridge! Admission is FREE. From 8-9pm salsa lessons will be offered followed by a live band. Food provided by a rotating cast of food trucks, brought to you by FoodTrucksIN, and Revival Brewing, Ravenous Brewing beer, wine and sangria available to purchase, courtesy of Laughing Gorilla Catering. Brought to you by the generosity of our sponsors, Navigant Credit Union, Blackstone Valley Community Health Center, Storage America, and Uber.

Claremont Street Knights of Columbus Hall, 11:00AM – 1:00PM
The Central Falls Prevention Coalition hosts it's free Annual Thanksgiving Community Meal for families in Central Falls.  Volunteers of all ages serve a warm holiday meal to residents and also advise them of the dangers of smoking, and having the attendees sign a smoke free pledge.

For all Central Falls residents, this dinner features a gift for kids from kindergarten through seventh grade. The City also throws a Holiday Dinner at Central Falls High School with gifts for children in grades 8 through 12. 

City Hall Fellowship Program:

The CF Fellowship Program is a youth employment program for CF teenagers. Youth are encouraged to apply and selected youth will be assigned a PAID 120 hours internship with a city department, program, or community partner, depending on the specific interests of the youth. In addition to specific job related skills, youth in the program will receive general job training, and opportunities for resume development. Contact the Parks and Recreation Department for more information.
