CENTRAL FALLS - On Thursday, Jan. 15, from 6 to 6:30 p.m., Central Falls Mayor James Diossa will host the third annual Martin Luther King Jr. Celebration in the Central Falls City Council Chambers alongside city partners.
"I am happy to be part of this annual event that celebrates Martin Luther King Jr." said Diossa. "Dr. King was a leader who exemplified true passion in providing equal opportunity to all individuals, regardless of their race or socio-economic background. This is a message I want to be heard throughout the city of Central Falls."
Diossa will open the event, followed by remarks from NAACP President Jim Vincent. The celebration will also include performances by the Central Falls High School Thespian Society, Blackstone Valley Prep student Violinists, and a special performance by Joe Wilson Jr.
