Mayor James A. Diossa and the City of Central Falls welcome all to the 26th Annual Car Show to be held on Dexter Street
CENTRAL FALLS, RI – Mayor James A. Diossa and the City of Central Falls are hosting the 26th Annual Car Show on Dexter Street on Sunday, September 24th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. This year, the car show is expected to surpass the over 4,000 people and 120 antique and customized cars that attended last year.
The fun-filled Sunday will include a performance from Robert Black, the popular Elvis Presley Tribute Artist, along with Kings Row, one of Southern New England’s premier bands. There will also be plenty of family activities such as a rock climbing wall, bouncy house, obstacle course, balloon twister, face paint, dunk tank, and much more. Local vendors will also be setting up outside of their shops and offering a variety of dishes.
“Our Car Show has been a staple of the City for over 25 years and is a running tradition for many families,” stated Mayor James A. Diossa. “It’s exciting to see stunning cars and thousands of happy people seeing the best of the City and our local businesses.”
“I am very happy to see the car show on Dexter Street,” stated City Council President Bob Ferri. “I am looking forward to seeing the wonderful people that traditionally attend along with enjoying the entertainment and food.”
Registration for all vehicles will begin at 8 a.m. and is only $10. The first 50 cars will receive free limited-edition t-shirts. Judges made up of local auto shops in the City will decide the top 10 and Best in Show awards. The Mayor’s Pick will also be awarded by Mayor James A. Diossa.
The City would like to thank its sponsors Navigant Credit Union, Blackstone Valley Community Health Care, Blue Cross Blue Shield RI, and the Roger Williams University School of Continuing Education for their support in making this traditional event a possibility this year.
